BESIDES operating and treating complex RETINAL disorders DR Deepak has been trained proficiently In dealing with and operating complicated cataract and glaucoma cases.He is also proficient in diagnosing and treating corneal pathologies like corneal ulcers, keratoconus, dystrophies, traumatic corneal tears.etc.
Dr Deepak Agrawal completed his MBBS from renowned Kasturba Medical College, Manipal with gold medal. He then pursued his post graduation from world renowned Aravind Eye hospital ,Madurai. Aravind Eye hospital is known to have the largest number of OPD and eye surgeries in the world.
Eventually he joined as Deputy Chief medical officer at Aravind eye hospital ,Theni where he worked proficiently in the field of Cataract ,Glaucoma ,Orbit and Retina.He performed surgery for several complicated cases like congenital cataracts with ocular coloboma, trabeculectomy for advanced glaucoma ,DCR for watering eyes and lasers for diabetic retinopathy, vasculitis and retinopathy of prematurity(ROP).
Then he completed his Surgical Retina Fellowship from Aravind eye hospital,Maduari during which he performed surgeries for complex retinal detachment, advanced proliferative diabetic retinopathy,coloboma RD and lasers for diabetic retinopathy and vasculitis.
He also started the Vitreoretina department at Indira Gandhi eye hospital,Lucknow and started vitreoretina surgeries at Mahaveer Netralaya Patna.
